Germantown Electronics Maker Requests Federal Investigations of Chinese Firm
Germantown furniture electronics developer Raffel Systems LLC, which in June won a $106 million intellectual property verdict against a huge Chinese furniture maker, is asking the U.S. government to investigate the foreign company.
Raffel sent letters to three U.S. agencies requesting investigations into Man Wah Holdings Ltd. Inc. and its U.S. subsidiary Man Wah USA for unfair trade practices and for failing to report potentially dangerous consumer safety risks, according to a Sept. 1 announcement from Raffel.
The letters to the U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission were dated Aug. 31, and signed by Raffel Systems executive chairman Paul Stangl and Raffel Systems attorney Lanny J. Davis.
